Dove House is excited to launch a new fundraising initiative in partnership with The Big Give. This year, the hospice is taking part in the national Big Give Christmas Challenge, a match-funding appeal that will double every donation made online between 2 nd – 9 th December, at no extra cost to supporters. Every pound donated will help provide twice the care, twice the comfort, and countless more moments of peace and connection for families facing the hardest of times.

The ‘Let’s Talk Money’ course, for learners aged 19 and over, is returning to East Riding of Yorkshire Council venues. The course looks at topics such as building a budget, using online price comparison tools and signposting to other services that can support saving money.
The Music Mark of Recognition has been awarded to 18 East Riding schools, demonstrating their commitment to music education.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Music Education Service recognised the schools for how they advocate for the importance of music education in the curriculum and creative life of the school.
Cowick, Preston, Quay, Swinemoor, Airmyn, Brough, Beverley St Nicholas, Burton Agnes, Hallgate, Lockington, North Ferriby, Roos, Skirlaugh, Rawcliffe and Rawcliffe Bridge, Westfield, Willberby Carr and Wold Newton Primary Schools and Hornsea School and Language College have all been awarded the Music Mark of Recognition.
One of Britain’s most celebrated Paralympic athletes and a leading voice on equality and inclusion, Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson will take centre stage as keynote speaker at The Business Day at Bridlington Spa on Friday 5 June 2026.
